Located in the heart of the city, the mandal is known for its special idol decorated with attractive jewellery donated by traders of the Laxmi Road when the mandal completed its anniversary a couple of years ago. Founded in 1887, the mandal is installed the idol in an illuminated pagoda erected specially for the festival. The idol displays golden crown, necklace and ears. |

This Mandal was established in 1887,even before Late Lokmanya Tilak started this festival.
It was established as a symbol Hindu Muslim Unity.This is the first mandal in Maharashtra
who celebrated centenary.
Contribution is not collected from public,all the expenditure is shared by members of the mandal.
