Cultural Events
Founded by the freedom fighter Lokmanya Tilak who evolved the idea of the public celebration of Ganesh festival in order to unite the masses to fight for freedom, the Kesriwada retains its century old tradition and is considered as one of the most respected Ganesh mandals of the city. The mandal as a tradition, does not display decoration but emphasizes on organization of cultural events and educative programmes. The mandal attracts a large number of devotees that gather not only for the religious rituals but also for the educational and cultural events organized simultaneously. The mandal has already celebrated its Ganesh festival that is held on the basis of the Tilak Panchang. |
